A short hike on the Julier pass to enjoy the sunset and the fresh snow. Equipped with headlamp, snowshoes and camera I could capture a few nice shots in this beautiful and quiet environment.

This weekend I went hiking with my wife from the Lago Tremorgio to the Campo Tencia's hut. Almost eight hours of hiking. A few beautiful spots to take pictures: alpine lakes, peaks and a beautiful view of the mount Adula during the sunrise. And we enjoyed the evening in the hut.

I enjoyed the late afternoon at the Leg Gravasalvas. The sunset was not so magic as I hoped but it was worth to hike for one hour. I shot a few abstract images of the alpine lake and the pond.

One week (my last week of holiday) in the Ela parc and the surrounding areas. Mountains, alpine lakes, flowers, cows and fresh air, away from Lugano and the high temperatures! Lots of opportunities to take beautiful landscape pictures.

Hiking on the Nufenpass, from the Corno-Gries Hut to the pass of San Giacomo. The Bedretto valley is one of the best location in Ticino for Hiking. And photography? Unfortunately the are many electricity pylons around so it's not so easy to get a free view of this beautiful landscape. The only alternative is to use Photoshop!

On the road to Savognin I made a break on the San Bernardino Pass. The melting ice on the lake's surface is a very nice subject to photograph. From the pass the view on the village of San Bernardino and the valley is fantastic.

This is my favourite spot in Ticino. Along the river Verzasca you can find plenty of beautiful locations. I regularly visit the valley and always it's a little bit different. The water, which has been shaping the rocks for many and many years, and the light are variables that affect the composition of the images in a way that every visit is a surprise. In order to avoid the crowd of turists is essential to visit the valley in the early morning and in the evening. Fantastic!

A short walk in Aurigeno, Valle Maggia. A beautiful waterfall and nice romanic bridge. I will go back to this location in spring.

A short walk with snowshoes after a heavy snowfall. Too much because there was a very high risk of avalanches. Neverthless it was fantastic and I could capture a few beautiful images. At home I decided to edit them following a minimalist approach.
